A dad, a waffle iron, and a Saturday tradition.

I am genuinely grateful for everyone who shows, and has shown, support for me, and McNeil Mixes, over the years. What started as a simple ask of making waffles turned into a passion to bring traditions to my family, and yours. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy the mix as much as my family has.

How we got here

1. 2015

   The ask. My son was two, and he started asking me for waffles. So I made them, and kept making them.

2. 2017

   After a couple of years of refining the recipe, and being in the kitchen every weekend, friends and family started asking for bags of the mix and premade waffles. The first sign I was on to something.

3. 2020

   The kiddo asks me to make a food truck to sell waffles and name it Hurricane Waffles. That’s when the idea of selling them started to become real.

4. 2022

   I registered the McNeil Mixes name for the first time. It never really went anywhere, other than buying 300 bags to put the mix in. Spoiler alert: I never filled the bags.

5. 2023

   I unregistered the LLC I’d filed the year before. The business went quiet.

6. 2025

   The years passed; but I could still be found in the kitchen every weekend making waffles for kiddo, family, and friends.

7. 2026

   Serious interest turned into real orders. I registered the McNeil Mixes name once again and officially sold the first bags of mix.
